Pakse Overview
Pakse is the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Champasak in Southern Laos, it owns some beautiful colonial facades like that of the Chinese society and a busy market with its cotton and silk weaving stalls.
The city of Pakse conserves many buildings over time: colonial houses, royal residential place now converted into a hotel (The Champasak Palace). A quiet atmosphere, peace sceneries, sometimes nonchalant and time seems to stand still here.
Pakse is a quiet town where life takes place on the banks of the Mekong but owns the strong hidden charm in it. There are many tourist attraction places to visit and explore here such as The Temple of Wat Phou, Champasak Museum, Boun Oum, Wat Luang, and so on.
