Day 1: Arrive In Hanoi (N/A)

Upon arrival at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, you will be warmly welcomed by driver (No Guide). Then transfer to hotel, check in & leisure (the room may not be available after 14:00 PM).

The rest time, you will be freely explore Hanoi by your ways.

Overnight in Hanoi

Day 2: Hanoi - Sapa - Cat Cat Village (B/L)

At 07:30 am: Tour guide will pick you up at the meeting point then depart to Sapa by car, following Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway. Along the way, you will enjoy by the beauty of northwest mountains, terraced fields are sparkling in sunlight or dim in thick fog. Stop and have a rest in 30 minutes.

Have lunch at local restaurant on the way.

13.00 am: Arrive in Sapa, check in hotel.

Afternoon: You start trekking to Cat Cat village which is occupied by the Black H’mong tribe. Here, you can see the hydroelectric power station which was built by the French in twentieth century. You will experience the tribal way of life of ethnic minorities while enjoying wonderful views of the terraced rice paddy fields and the waterfall in Cat Cat village. Evening: you are free to explore the charm of Sapa by night, enjoy roasted corn, baked eggs beside charcoal fire or go shopping.

Day 3: Sapa - Lao Chai - Ta Van - Giang Ta Chai (B/L)

After breakfast, go trekking to Lao Chai, Ta Van and Giang Ta Chai villages of H’mong, Dzay, Red Dzao minorities. From here we have a magnificent view to the minority villages and terraced rice fields beneath us. The walk is about 16 km along the track that the Vietnamese used for fleeing, when the Chinese invaded Sapa in 1979. Then get back to Sapa for overnight.

Day 4: Sapa - Ethnic Market - Bac Ha (B/L/D)

Have breakfast.

Today, transfer to Bac Ha and enjoy of visiting a market for ethnic minorities.

+ Saturday: market Can Cau 100 km from Lao Cai / 140 km from Sapa

+ Sunday: market Bac Ha or market Muong Hum 80 km from lao Cai / 120 km from Sapa

Day 5: Bac Ha - Hanoi (B/L)

Have breakfast.

This morning, we will walk around the Bac Ha village populated by Mong, colorful ethnic minorities (Ban Pho).

Have lunch at local restaurant.

After that leave Bac Ha back Hanoi.

Day 6: Hanoi - Mai Chau Trekking (B/L/D)

Have breakfast at hotel.

At 08:00 am, tour guide pick up you from hotel, then depart toward Hoa Binh province. After the bustling city, your drive becomes more scenic as you are making the way through the countryside with views of villages, small towns and farms along the way. You're able to make short stops for photo opportunities. Arrive at a village of White Thai people in Mai Chau Valley around noon.

Have a Vietnamese lunch at the village.

In the afternoon, together with your guide, take a gentle trek to explore the surroundings with villages of stilt house, fruit and vegetable gardens and rice fields. This is a great chance for you to learn the daily life of the locals and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Back to the family for dinner.

Day 7: Mai Chau Trekking - Pu Luong (B/L/D)

In the morning, begin your family’s trek in Na Meo with the easy walk through rice terraces and rural villages.

Continue visiting to Buoc Village where the White Thai people live and see local farmers working on the terraced rice paddies, forests and enjoy the natural beauty of the valley

Return to hotel/homestay for the lunch.

Afternoon, drive to Pu Luong Natural Reserve, about 160 km southwest of Hanoi, with a stunning combination between pristine forest and cultivated rice terraces. Check in & leisure.

Day 8: Pu Luong Trekking - Ninh Binh (B/L/D)

Trek following the small roads through the terrace rice fields and cross the stream to visit remote rural villages of Muong and Black Thai Minorities to learn about the local people in Pu Luong (6kms). The scenery is also very peaceful and rural. Return to hotel/homestay for the lunch.

The afternoon drive to Ninh Binh province, check in & leisure.

Day 9: Hoa Lu - Mua Caves - Tam Coc (B/L/D)

Have time for breakfast, then tour guide pick you up at hotel, depart to visit some famous tourist attractions in Ninh Binh, enjoying the beautiful sceneries of the rural areas on the way.

First, you visit Hoa Lu - the Ancient Royal capital of Viet Nam. We will visit Dinh king temple and Le king temple dating back to the 17^th Century.

Next, arrival Mua Caves and start an amazing trek up to the top of Ngoa long mountain for watching the spectacular rice valley with specious view of the nature.

Have lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch you will get on bamboo boat - rowed by the local people - in Small River to visit Tam Coc (three caves) on the way. You pass through three enormous caves that provide a brief respite from the intense summer sun. It takes approximately two hours to go up and down the river and along the way, you witness local fisher folk, village life along the river and, of course, the striking limestone karst formations that Tam Coc is famous for.

Overnight in Ninh Binh

Day 10: Ninh Binh - Halong Bay (B/L/D)

Have breakfast at the hotel.

08:00 am, departure from Ninh Binh for the famous Halong Bay. The road will pass by the Red River delta with green paddy fields and rural villages, where hard-work farmers are busy with their farming jobs, plough buffaloes or planting seedling.

Upon arrival in Halong Bay, at 12:00 - 12:30 pm, we’ll take a big boat to cruise the Bay to discover the magnificent beauty of this “Descending-dragon” bay, created by thousands odd-shaped limestone rocks and karst grottoes. After a lunch of fresh seafood on board, we can visit the Surprising Grotto, stop for swimming or kayaking, passing floating villages and approach islets to enjoy their beauty in close distance. Back to the boat for dinner late afternoon. Evening attend activities on the boat or relax at your own leisure.

Day 11: Halong Bay - Hanoi (B/L)

Breakfast on boat, The Vietnamese call the “East Sea” by a point-oriented name “Eastern Sea”, so you may guess how miraculous it is seeing the sunrise over the islets of the Bay. The boat will take us to go about marvelous areas, where almost each islet has its own name, adopting its shape or reminiscent, including the Fisherman’s Head, Turtle, the Sail, the Incense Burner Rock, the cute Sea Dog Rock or Cock Fighting Rocks and so on. Lunch on boat.

Check out and get back to the shore. Private tour guide is waiting you at the bank to take you back Hanoi.
